En nuestra cultura, la reflexión filosófica, del mismo modo que la mitología, la literatura y el arte, han ido construyendo un paradigma de la sexualidad (oculta bajo las más diversas formas de la pasión amorosa).

Las desnaturalizaciones posibles de la sexualidad son: la errancia, la genitalización compulsiva, la reducción metonímica y la desvalorización del cuerpo. Cómo hoy nos pensamos y sentimos como sujetos u objetos de deseo, y nosvivimos y expresamos como seres sexuados, a partir de los diferentes discursos construidos acerca de la sexualidad.
La sexualidad moral en los adolescentes.
Una de las cuestiones que más intensamente viven los adolescentes es la de la sexualidad. Para ellos, el despertar sexual lleva aparejado, en la mayoría de los casos, un desconocimiento bastante elevado sobre cuestiones relativas al sexo,además de plantearse dudas morales acerca de la conveniencia o inconveniencia de ciertas conductas sexuales sobre las que existen numerosos prejuicios.
Además, la sexualidad se encuentra relacionada con otros temas sociales y éticos como la salud, la igualdad moral entre los sexos o la educación para la convivencia.
Para ello ha sido necesario variar la concepción clásica sobre la sexualidad:hoy día no es entendida como una función orgánica tendente exclusivamente a la reproducción de la especie, sino que se reivindica y se valora como una fuente de placer y como un instinto cuya satisfacción (siempre que sea responsable y sana) es primordial para mantener la vida afectiva y el equilibrio de nuestra personalidad.
El masoquismo.
En su significación más extensa expresa un estadopatológico que consiste en la necesidad de buscar sufrimientos (físicos y/o psíquicos) para alcanzar el placer o una situación de equilibrio psíquico.
Para algunos psicólogos, el masoquismo es una variante del sadismo, con la peculiaridad de que la violencia se ejerce sobre uno mismo. El masoquismo es algo perturbante y que denigra a la pareja.
La prostitución.
Según un dicho popular, «laprostitución es el oficio más viejo del mundo». Lo cierto es que ya desde la remota antigüedad existen testimonios históricos de estas prácticas. Las causas que empujan a muchas personas a prostituirse son, fundamentalmente, las siguientes: pobreza, marginación social, falta de cultura, drogadicción, engaños, secuestros de jóvenes, violencia de “chulos” y mafias.
En muy pocos países del mundoestá legalizada la prostitución (se considera a los que la ejercen como trabajadores sin más, con todos los derechos y deberes laborales). En muchos otros países está despenalizada, es decir, nadie puede ser castigado legalmente por ejercer libremente la prostitución, aunque no se encuentre legalizada. En decenas de Estados, sin embargo, está prohibido y penalizado su ejercicio.
Persona quepromueve la prostitución de otros con el fin de obtener dinero produce deshumanización. El “chulo” típico suele encarnarse en un varón que obliga a una o varias mujeres a practicar la prostitución, quedándose con una parte considerable de las ganancias obtenidas por éstas. A cambio, les ofrece protección frente a las acciones violentas de otros “chulos” o de los clientes.
